Steel tanks are suitable for domestic, irrigation, livestock and for BMO (Bushfinre Management Overlay) requirements.

Due to recent bushfire disasters Australia wide, many local councils are now calling up steel tanks with local fire-fighting fittings. Accordingly, you may require a tank for static emergency water storage if you are building in a bushfire zone according to BAL ratings 12.5; 19; 29; and 40 and BASIX.

Capacity of dedicate fire tank requirements: Always check with your local council first as this is just a guide.

•       Lot sizes up to 500sqm – 2500 litres.
•       Lot sizes 500sqm to 1000sqm – 5000 litres.
•       Lot sizes greater than 1000sqm – 10,000 litres.

•          NSW – Storz fitting (various sizes, check with local fire authority).
•          Queensland – Cam-lock fitting 50mm.
•          Victoria – CFA fitting, three threads per inch, 65mm nominal bore.

STANDARD INCLUSIONS

•          1 x Inlet Strainers with Light Guards Fitted In Tank Lid
•          1 x 25mm Zinc Outlet with WaterMarked Brass Ball Valve Fitted At The Bottom of The Corrugation of The Tank Wall
•          1 x 90mm/100mm Fitted Overflow on the Top Corrugation of the Tank Wall.

Inlet: The tank inlet is situated on the tank roof where rainwater enters your tank.

Outlet: The tank outlet is located near the bottom of the tank where water flows out. The threads are BSP type, and the default outlet is 25mm.

Overflow: Overflows are designed to mate up to a PVC elbow to direct excess water harvested away from the tank and into a drain point.

Tip: check the tank’s dimensions to ensure it will fit through gates, around tight corners or under low hanging branches or narrow passages.
