When building in a Bushfire Overlay area there are strict guidelines on the installation of a Fire water tank.  The size of the bushfire tank called up by local council is dependent on land size and what BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) level your property is assessed at.  To determine your BAL level you will have to apply for a Bushfire Hazard Assessment and passed by your building surveyor.
