5000L Underground Water Tank

Underground water tanks were designed after recognising a need in the industry for an underground tank that is structurally strong, resistant to hydrostatic lift pressure and easy to install.

These underground tanks are made from chemical resistant, food grade LLDPE resin, Toroids have been designed to withstand external forces with an S.G. of 2.1.  The design of the Toroid shape gives the water tank’s their superior strength. The central void allows the tank to be incorporated into heavy duty situations and the heavy rib profile allows the surface load to be transferred away from the tank itself. Accordingly, installations under driveways and garage floors are now possible as these Underground Tanks can be used in both foot and trafficable zones.

Another huge benefit of underground water tanks that the water is stored in an environment where the temperature does not fluctuate to extreme conditions.  The tanks are unobtrusive and are away from sight.

DELIVERY

Underground tanks are delivered to front of site. It is customer responsibility to have lifting equipment on site on the day of delivery or enough strong adults to hand off-load ie 4-5 adults.

DETENTION/RETENTION

It is possible to create a detention/retention system on an underground tank set up.  Unfortunately, it is not possible to penetrate the side wall of an underground tank as it will compromise strength.  But it is possible to create a detention system using external pipework with additional fittings inserted low on the tank.  The attached image shows a detention set up using a 50mm fitting on the tank.  Using the same set up, it is possible to use 100mm pvc fitting and pipes also.
