What is a Stormwater Pit?
In short, a stormwater pit is an underground structure/pit to capture stormwater and to manage the run off.
What do Stormwater Pump wells do?
The main purpose is to capture runoff from roofs, roads, driveways, and paved areas. We also see many backyards with drainage issues select smaller pits to remove
This often comes with other debris like sand, rubbish and leaves.
How do they work?
Excess or overflow Water flows will enter the pit through a grate or often a PVC inlet. Heavier materials and the debris will settle at the bottom overtime. The water that sits on top will exit the pit via an outlet pipe or overflow pipe and will be forced into the stormwater. Read the rest
