Water Tank Delivery

Slimline Poly Tanks up to 5,000 litres

All slimline water tanks are loaded onto our truck and trailer by forklift.  The tanks are then securely strapped down and checked to ensure they will arrive at their destination safely. Our drivers are experienced at Water tank Delivery.

Our drivers are solo.  They will off load your tank onto the ground by themselves onto the driveway or nature strip outside your house.  The driver has discretion as to whether they wish to help the customer move the tank to its final location.  Drivers are aware that they are not covered for insurance once they enter the backyard of any premises.  Accordinly, drivers will not help to move any tank over garden beds, stairs or any other obstacle that might cause injury to themselves or the customer. 

All tanks are dragged using one of the brass outlets (that remains plugged) .  The tank base is suitable for dragging along gravel/grass/concrete etc.  Please do not be alarmed.  This has been the process for 3o years.

Please note that if a customer wishes to move a tank 3000 litre and larger, there must be another strong adult available (preferably two strong adults) to help push the tank.  If not, the driver will not attempt to move it alone due to a possibility of injury.  5000 litre tanks weigh approx. 150Kgs.

Round Poly Tanks up to 6,000 litres

All round Water tanks are loaded onto our truck and trailer by forklift.  The tanks are then securely strapped down and checked to ensure they will arrive at their destination safely.

Round tanks are cumbersome and are difficult to move.  Again, we leave it to the water tank delivery persons discretion as to whether they feel that there is enough extra help available and how safe the path is to deliver the tank to its final destination.  Again, the driver is not covered for liability once they enter a backyard.  Drivers will never pull a tank over obstacles like garden beds, trenches, stairs and the like.

Please note:

If a water tank delivery person refuses to help move your water tank to the back yard or other, the delivery person is not being rude and unhelpful.  In their opinion, either the tank is too large and there is not enough manual help, the path is fraught with danger or maybe the delivery driver is unwell.  No refusal is intended to offend.

Servicing the East Coast of Australia water tank delivery schedules takes hours of logistics. Tanks are grouped into delivery areas. We attempt to be at the first drop off location by 7am. A few days prior to your water tank delivery, the driver will contact you with a delivery time. From years of experience we are usually pretty accurate with Water Tank delivery times. The odd occasion occurs where we may be running behind schedule due to road works, or difficulty at a previous delivery. But the delivery driver will keep in contact.

There are different techniques used to deliver different size tanks. Slimline tanks are often delivered in a run with many other slimline tanks. Larger round tanks are often delivered by themselves or with one other customers tanks on board. Each process is very different. It’s most important that customers are aware of what is possible and not possible with the delivery of their water tank. There are many limitations that will vary between each site. This is due to the layout of every property is different. It is impossible due to OH & S or water tanks to be delivered over garden beds and stairs. Tanks are too heavy and cumbersome to lift over obstacles. Please ensure you discuss your property and its layout with our staff so we can help as best we can with the delivery of your tank.
